“Never Forget September 11” with a Yellow Ribbon

I finished one of my ongoing designs.
I turned “9-11” into stars and stripes style, placed a yellow ribbon between “9” and “11,” wrote “Never Forget” on the right side of the ribbon, and placed a heart in the top middle of the ribbon. I created two versions for this design with and without grunge. Next, I made the yellow ribbon bigger, and wrote “9-11-01” on left side of the ribbon. I will finish this on the weekend.

10th Anniversary for September 11

I have been working on “Never Forget September 11” this week.
I modified a grunge T-Shirt that I made yesterday, and turned it into a new version in a red, white, and blue grunge background. Also, I finished another “9-11-11” with a picture of Osama Bin Laden's dead face in the burning twin towers. I created two versions for this design, the dead face on the year of “11, ” and on the date of “11.” Also, I created the flying US flag version. Here are some final products.

September 11 “Never Forget. 10th Anniversary”

I will focus on 9 11 Anniversary designs this week.
I typed “9-11” in the middle of the canvas, and “Never Forget” on the top, and “10th Anniversary” on the bottom. I chose “Stencil Std” for font style, and put a star in red, white, and blue between “9” and “11.” I turned the parts of the twin towers into “11” in red, and “9” in blue, and placed grunge borders above the letters. I made a different version by adding the year which is “9-11-11,” and placed a picture of Osama Bin Laden's dead face in the burning twin towers on the year of “11.”
Next, I removed his face and placed a rose on “10th Anniversary,” and made it another version. Next, I placed the American flag on the background, turned “9-11-11” into white, and made it a new patriotic version. Here are some final products.

Started working on 9-11 10th Anniversary

I started working on drafts for September 11, 10th Anniversary. I brainstormed for design ideas, and sketched them on some paper. They include the Pentagon in stars and stripes, the peace symbol in red, white, and blue, the Navy Seal's emblem in some of the messages such as “September 11,” “9/11/01” “Never Forget,” and “10th Anniversary.”

I have a darft that I did for Memorial Day and “Bin Laden Dead” which is the burning twin towers with the smoke and dead Osama Bin Laden inside the smoke. I opened the files of “OBAMA got OSAMA” designs that I created in May, and considered how to reuse graphics for new designs. For preparation, I placed Osama Bin Laden's dead face, the US flag, the Navy Seal's emblem, and a solider aiming at Bin Laden on the same canvas, and considered the combinations of the elements. I will finish some more designs this week.

“Teaching Wise Owl” with “Knowledge Is Power!”

I created “Teaching Wise Owl” with “Knowledge Is Power!” by modifying my existing design at CafePress, which is the owl teaching Einstein's formula, and the students listening to the lecture on a tree. These designs are great for students and book lovers as well as for school events such as back to school, and graduations.

Migrating Designs from CafePress to Zazzle

I will migrate the designs at my CafePress store to my Zazzle store. All I need is to change the size for products at Zazzle while modifying some parts of the graphics.
I will retire some old designs that have not sold for a year.
I uploaded “WiseOwl” with “Knowledge Is Power!” Since this is my best seller at CafePress, I will create as many products as possible at Zazzle.
It's the second half of 2011. The major events for the rest of the year are the 10th anniversary for September 11, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I have been working on September 11, and will upload some anniversary designs soon. I have the past designs for Halloween at CafePress, and will modify them for Zazzle. I have never created products for Thanksgiving in the past. I might make some invitations for that, but I would rather focus on Christmas.

“Presidential Election 2012” T-Shirts

I have two “Election 2012” designs so far at my Zazzle store. They are not for supporting candidates or causes, but for expressing the nature of the Presidential Election 2012 in a neutral manner. I integrated pro and anti Obama elements to try something different from other election T-Shirts. I have a plan to add more designs constantly as I get good ideas. I have created the graphics related to the Election 2012 in May. Today. I made a simple design by rearranging the existing graphics.

Singing Bird with a Proverb

I worked on a draft for a singing macaw with a proverb. Last week, I placed the macaw in the center, and three hibiscus on the top, and typed “Those who wish to sing always find a song” between the hibiscus and the macaw. The macaw has a long tail, so I changed the size and the angle by using “Puppet Warp” with Photoshop to fit it into the canvas while adjusting the hibiscus and font style and color. However, I got a better idea for the composition, so I moved the hibiscus and the macaw together into the center, and typed the proverb around them in a circle. I copied some floral brushes from symbols in Illustrator and placed them around the hibiscus. This is the final product.

Completed Some Summer Designs

I have been working on multiple summer designs for a week, and completed some of them.
I made necklaces and coasters for the first time at Zazzle. This time, I made products by using a template which is a text field that allows users to customize the text. Here are some design examples.

Macaws and Hibiscus Designs

I kept working on multiple macaw and hibiscus projects. I cropped some other macaws and placed them in the center of the canvas, some hibiscus in front of them, and the sea and sky in the background. The square background of the scenery is good for some products, but not on a T-Shirt. I tried the white background for T-Shirts, but it looked something was missing. So I tried a circle and heart in blue for the background, and the blue heart looked nice, but the built in heart shape in Photoshop is a little bit wide, so I used one I created before. I typed “Summer” in Cooper Black. This time, I will make it a template field that allows users to change the word. Also, I created additional floral brushes, and placed on the draft I created two days ago.

Working on Summer Designs

I have been working on multiple macaw and hibiscus designs. I cut a beak of a macaw and pasted it on another macaw to make a singing macaw. I cropped pictures of hibiscus and laid them out on the page. I have to adjust the angle of the macaw, width and height of the flowers, and the direction of the petals. Puppet Warp and Liquify are good transformation tools when I deform the graphics. I created two singing macaws.

"Puppet Warp" is Photoshop CS 5 new feature, which is the next generation's graphic transformation features in Photoshop. It isolates objects in the Mesh and adds pins to the Mesh and uses some pins as handles and others as anchors to manipulate the shape of graphics.

I created some floral brushes with Pen Tool, and created vectors with Illustrator.
I added musical notes and typed “Those who wish to sing always find a song” in red and green.

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July!

Hope you guys were enjoying fireworks, parades, concerts, barbecues, and so on.

I moved to the next projects which are summer designs. I looked at photos of summer such as hibiscus, birds, the sea, waves, sky, palm trees, and rainbows. I have ideas for hibiscus and macaws, so I downloaded some of these pictures from free photo sites, and cropped them

Signing up for “Facebook”

Web Marketing involves directory listings, SEO, paid results and ads, banner ads, blogs, better reach via RSS, comments, and Social Media Marketing involves Facebook and Twitter. Facebook and Twitter are two major social media marketing tools that are fast-growing, free, and easy to get started to promote business.

I signed up for a Facebook page at last. The address is here.

I started Twitter last October, but was not very active. Now I make an announcement for new designs at Twitter. If you follow me, I will follow you back.

“Mission Accomplished. May 1, 2011” Sold

I modified an existing design, “Mission Accomplished. May 1, 2011” yesterday and uploaded it. I was surprised that it sold today. I just made a minor change of making the Navy Seal's Emblem smaller. The design looks better with a good balance of elements.

Started Selling “OBAMA got OSAMA”

The designs from “Bin Laden Killed” section now started selling towards 4th of July. I made them in May, and got only three sales in May, and didn't expect them to sell now because it's been a while since the event happened. Even though it's not new anymore, its not too old either. I guess there is another chance to sell them for 9/11. I will combine some 10th anniversary elements. I reviewed the “Bin Laden Killed” section again, and added something new in some designs by using objects that were left as drafts of unfinished products in May. I cropped a shark and placed it under Bin Laden's face with “DEAD” in red on the top. I placed another shark on “OBAMA got OSAMA. Justice has been done” with his face in the center and the sea background.
Also, I modified some existing designs. For instance, I removed the US flag on “DEAD” with Bin Laden's face, and made another version of the same design. Also, I made the Navy Seals Emblem smaller for another design. Here are some of the examples.
